On February 19, 2025, the first Volunteer Meeting was held and the new Shootout Volunteer Point Person was introduced by Leah Martin Shootout Executive Director. A brief overall review was provided regarding Volunteer Management, Event Updates, Offshore Racing & Event Planning, Key Dates, and Next Steps. Both Ron Frazier and Nancy Croft attended on behalf of our CBFA charity.
CBFA continues to be a large provider of volunteers for the Shootout which will be held at a different location and may include new events and arrangements yet to be introduced and explained.
As you know Margie and Ron Frazier were instrumental in getting CBFA involved in the Shootout when it was started at Captain Ron’s in Sunrise Beach. They have always attended these meetings and been our point people for securing and providing necessary volunteers for various Shootout Events. In the past years additional people have been added as key contacts and also attended these meetings. They include, Nancy Croft and Nancy and Mike Colley. These people plus Melanie Skinner will accompany Ron and all will be our point people for Shootout events this year. These are our 2025 CBFA Shootout Volunteer Point People.

Please know some events do have additional volunteer opportunities that may not be listed on the sign-up form and event list. Some examples include our pre-folding of all the Shootout shirts, making sandwiches for volunteers, and helping to setup and patrol boats & jet-ski.
If you are interested in joining our Volunteers this year for any event or support needs let the Nancy’s know as there is always a need for ‘back-up’ volunteers.
