Special Thanks to All the Shootout Volunteers AND All the Coffman Bend Fire Department volunteers that stayed on the Bend during the Shootout Events to provide services as needed.
2024 was a very special year for CBFA Shootout Volunteers our largest check from the Shootout Board with record breaking hours by our Volunteers!
2024 was also a very sad time as we lost Margie Frazier shortly after this year’s Shootout. Margie got us involved when the Shootout was moved to Captain Ron’s location. She kept us involved over the 16 years it was held at Captain Ron’s where we provided volunteers for organizing the T-Shirt tent, helping obtain volunteers for patrol boats, anchor management, we even made the sandwiches for the ALL the Volunteers working the race days. If Ron called or if Margie stopped by to see Ron Dugan and he ask or she volunteered to help with a new event, Margie said CBFA Volunteers could help.
The Shootout Board announced after the 2024 Shootout that in 2025 it would be moving from Captain Ron’s to a location closer to Osage Beach. Which was a shock for all of us.
CBFA plans to continue to volunteer for the Shootout Board in whatever way we can. Stay Tuned as we get nearer the 2025 Shootout Events.
