Some of you may have seen the smoke, the fire, or were delayed on the road as our volunteer fire fighters worked from Friday to Sunday end a fire which started on the marina road and spread to Driftwood and Gulley Lane.
Some homes eve had to evacuate.
Thank You to all the neighboring fire departments that helped and ALL those of YOU who offered water, food, etc. for our fire fighters.
This is a very dry season and there have been fires all around our county. Be safe. It only takes a spark to start a fire – wind ‘fuels it’ and helps it spread.
